On April 20th the NEOACS celebrated the achievements of young scientists by acknowledging the winners of the Young Scientist Essay Contest and CCEW Illustrated Poem Contest, as well as acknowledging the participants in the Chemistry Olympiad. Over sixty students, family, and section members attended the ceremony which included dinner and a featured lecture by Dr. Laura Johnson, Director of the National Center for Water Quality Research at Heidelberg University.
