2024 Young Scientist
 Award Banquet

The Young Scientist Award Banquet is an annual event hosted by the Northeast Ohio section of the American Chemical Society. The event honors young scientists from Lake and Ashtabula counties who have submitted entries into the Chemists Celebrate Earth Week essay or poem contests as well as the top three participants of the Chemistry Olympiad. In addition to honoring local students, exceptional chemistry teachers are recognized for their teaching excellence. Finally, local section members who have achieved 50 and 60 year membership milestones will be recognized.

The featured keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Rohan Akolkar from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Akolkar will be presenting a talk titled "Innovations in Electrochemistry to Revitalize the Rust Belt". A complete bio and talk abstract can be found here.

When: Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the event begins at 6:30 pm.

Where: Pine Ridge Country Club. 30601 Ridge Road, Wickliffe, Ohio.
